The objective of the game is to gain a better hand than the dealers.

First of all, you must make your bets. The ante bet is your original bet. The AA bet on the other hand, is optional, and gives you the chance to take all winnings after all the first cards are dealt if you have 2 aces or better.

Once you have made your bets, both you and the dealer will receive 2 cards each called ‘hole’ cards. 3 community cards will also be put face up in the centre – otherwise known as the ‘Flop’. After this the player must chose to either fold or call. If they fold, they lose their original bet (ante bet) however, if they chose to call and therefore continue playing with the same hand, they must double their ante bet. Also, if the player had made an AA bet and out of the 5 cards, they had 2 aces or better, they win the bet. However, winners of the AA bet must call before they can collect any winnings.

When there are only 2 flop cards left – the dealer will turn these cards face up and both yours and the dealer’s best hands will be made from these. The person with the better hand wins the game and will collect their ante and call bets, as well as their winnings!
