If you do happen to get 2 cards with a sum more than 10, you must subtract 10 from this number.

This is how the game is played. If the first 2 cards dealt give a sum of 8 or 9 – you win instantly. These are called Naturals and betting on your winning hand gives a 1:1 payout. However, if more than one player gets a natural sum of exactly the same amount, this is declared a tie and the person who bet on a tie gets a 9:1 payout. If one person gets a sum of 9 and one a sum of 8 – the person with 8 will take the winnings as Natural 8 always beats a Natural 9.
